It will make a significant contribution to the advancement of human health with the knowledge gained from working with AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The foundation and OeAW were able to win Michael Bronstein, DeepMind Professor at the University of Oxford, as founding director of the institute (3rd from right)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are very excited and are looking forward to a fruitful cooperation between the new institute and our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/tu_wien\/\">@tu_wien<\/a>&nbsp;colleagues with great expertise in AI and also in biotechnology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collaboration of Prof. Bronstein,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/tu_wien\/\">@tu_wien<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/univienna\/\">@univienna<\/a>&nbsp;ans&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/meduniwien\/\">@meduniwien<\/a>&nbsp;offers exceptional potentials in this important field of advancing biomedical development!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Great news for Vienna and our science community this week: The Austrian Academy of Sciences (@oeaw.at&nbsp;) opens an institute for Biomedical Artificial Intelligence (AI) based on a \u20ac 150 million funding from the German non-profit Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation (BIS).
