Today, we were honored by the visit of the President of the European Research Council (ERC), @erc_research Prof. Dr. Maria Leptin at the femIT network, organized by our dean of the faculty of computer science, Prof. Dr. Gerti Kappel.
We had excellent discussions on interdisciplinary research, research KPIs and peer review issues and how they could be improved. Also how we overcome the gender bias, the lack of women in leadership positions and their root causes. One is that men are typically over-confident and women just the opposite.
