Promotio sub auspiciis Praesidentis rei publicae (für Verleihung des Doktorates unter den Auspizien des Bundespräsidenten) ist eine besondere Form der Promotion, die die höchstmögliche Auszeichnung in Österreich ist. Sie geht in ihren Ursprüngen bis ins 17. Jahrhundert zurück.
